Aloette Lipcolor is AWESOME. The texture, smell and admittedly taste are the balm diggity, sorry for the pun! Before being introduced to Aloette I have never liked wearing lip balm products before because they always had a waxy lard texture and taste that I was sucking on whale blubber and well 'ewe' who wants to suck on that? From my experience Aloette's lip products have a tasty vanilla or luscious peppermint taste and a smooth silky texture that is not 'sticky' like lard and has a nice pigment that lasts for hours and with the extra tips below can provide even longer lasting color as decides and flexibility to keep your favorite color but to 'change up' your finish as easy as 1, 2, 3 for a new look!
Here’s three easy ways to
adapt your favorite Aloette lipstick you love.
Aloette Lip Color |
- Create a tinted balm look - Dab color lightly onto your lips using a finger—here, you’re going for the sheerest tint to wake up your face. Top it off with a translucent lip balm, like Aloette’s Lip Difference, which will bring out the shade without adding pigment, and get you glowing. It’s the perfect low-fuss look for a busy day.
- Super shiny gloss look - Swipe on a full coat of lipstick to start. Then apply a transparent or slightly shimmery gloss just in the center of both the top and bottom lips. Aloette’s Morning Dew would be a great choice. Doing that (instead of a full coat) will prevent the gloss from causing the color to bleed, while adding an eye-catching shine that will wear all night long.
- Stay-put matte finish - Using a precision lip brush (like Aloette’s lip brush) apply a coat of lipstick, taking care to create a crisp shape and clean edges. Grab a tissue and blot away the creamy shine, then, do a second coat and blot again. To finish, top it all off with a loose transparent powder, like Aloette’s Translucent Veil for a maxim matte effect (tip: set aside a “lips-only” puff or sponge specifically for this purpose). Your shade should last through lunch and an after-work cocktail outing. For extra insurance, pack your lip brush & veil along for touch ups! 1,2, 3 tips courtesy Aloette of Upstate SC & Western NY
